Professionally about what you love most of all! BURGERS!
Burger in NSHRY (Melbourne)
It ain't cheap, but it will hit the spot. Located right next to the water, this little hole in the sand offers an Umami Burger that includes a wagyu and angus blended pattie, umami rub, caramelized etc etc…you get the picture. It's a solid little burger, possibly a little too heavy on the meat, but otherwise a worthwhile treat. Get in there and ask them to cook fries instead of chips.
Umami (Royale)
You know when you have a hankering for a burger and for ribs? Well The Royale served up at Umami Santa Monica, can solve that conundrum for you. It's actually kinda genius. The cheese is a house-made truffle infused type and there's a roasted garlic aioli to ensure your date leans back when you lean in. The burger looks great. The burger tastes great. Go enjoy one.Customers Support
Rockpool Bar & Grill (Melbourne)
There's a pretty decent burger at the Rockpoll Bar in Melbourne, which despite it's 'common man' sounding name, is a little snooty. The benefit of snootiness however is that the service is impeccable. Delivered on a slightly sweet brioche-style bun with a thick 'Full Blood Wagyu' pattie, bacon, gruyere cheese, caramelized onions and Zuni pickles – It's hard to fault, but doesn't quite pull the rabbit out of the hat. It's not cheap at $25 – and it doesn't come with fries.
Pono Burger
Nestled in the heart of the Santa Monica shopping district, Pono's biggest challenge is facing down Umami burger across the street. Mission accomplished. The burger meat is organic and grass fed, the buns are soft and hold together beautifully and the menu creations veer off the straight and narrow without disappointing the taste buds. You wanna make Umami jealous? Pop over the street and try Pono. (It's not cheating if you're drunk).
25 Degrees (Roosevelt Hotel)
The hotel that houses burger joint 25 Degrees is well known in Hollywood as being home to pretty people and Hollywood hopefuls that will pose by the pool of a Summer day and remind you that you're genetically imperfect and need to brush your teeth. Fortunately attached to the premises is the restaurant where emotional support is supplied in the form of well crafted burgers. Yes, it is as good as it looks and the fries aren't far behind. The wait staff could charm the paint off a farm tractor and if you need some inspiration to join the gym – take a peek at the pool area.
Mumma's Burger
With the cool hipster vibe comes the expected over-priced cocktails – but I gotta say, they're pretty good even if I can drink my paycheck without getting drunk. The menu is covertly produced in a tiny kitchen out back and while they aren't a burger joint, they make a pretty good one. If that isn't enough, they have this crispy pork bun style delight that's like a cloud of fluffy pork heaven in your mouth. Open up and shove it in. You won't be disappointed.
